レンタルサーバの 2.661 の管理画面の「エントリーの書き出し・読み込み」から、「エントリーを書き出す」を使って、データをテキストファイルにエクスポートしました。
自宅サーバの 3.11-ja をインストールしたディレクトリに、import ディレクトリを作って、そこにそのテキストファイルをコピーし、管理画面の「読み込み・書き出し」から、「エントリーの読み込み」ボタンを押してうまく行きました。
全部自宅サーバ上で作業を行ないました。

All data imported successfully! Make sure that you remove the files that you imported from the 'import' folder, so that if/when you run the import process again, those files will not be re-imported.とだけ出る場合は、うまくインポートが出来てない可能性があります。
